Our team at Tesoro expertly fuses traditional Italian cuisine with Tasmania’s local produce.

We champion local produce, thoughtful craftsmanship, and uncomplicated dining done well. In true Italian style, we value humble, uncomplicated food; delicious, punchy flavour; quality, local produce, low food miles and low food waste. We’ve become amici with the artisans, mingled with the makers and gathered with the growers to find just what we need to bring our menu to life.

Second evening eating here, the starters and main courses are absolutely huge, you could have one starter between two. The first night I had the garlic bread. It arrived as a 12 inch pizza bread with a quinel of garlic butter. It was so nice but very filling. I had the sirloin steak medium it came with roast potatoes and a half a bok choy or wombok. It was tasty but a little strange as a plate. The second night I had the focaccia a much smaller starter, I asked for less potatoes and some vegetables instead of the wombok. What arrived looked amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. My steak on the second night had a lot of fat on the edge but it was cooked to a medium perfectly. I couldn’t manage the desert but seeing some of the portion sizes they looked amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant and if you’re an Accor plus member it’s an extra 30% off the meal and 15% off the drinks. They were very accomodating with my request to change the plate.
