In October 2023, Tesoro Hobart achieved a remarkable feat by being awarded a prestigious Gold medal at the 2023 Tasmanian Hospitality Awards for Excellence. We were recognised as the 'Best Restaurant (In a Hotel or Accommodation Venue),' solidifying our reputation as one of Hobart's best Italian restaurants. This achievement reinforces our position as a top choice among Hobart's best restaurants, setting a high standard in culinary excellence.
In addition, Mövenpick Hotel Hobart also took home a Gold medal for 'Best Superior Accommodation'.
These esteemed awards were presented during the gala awards night held at the Botanical Gardens in Hobart on Thursday, 4 October. The event brought together more than 700 hospitality representatives and dignitaries to celebrate the winners across 38 categories, encompassing the finest cafes, restaurants, accommodation providers, pubs, sporting clubs, and tourism operators throughout the state.
In a year with a record number of 500 entries from 200 venues across the state, Tesoro managed to stand out as one of Tasmania's top hospitality venues in the restaurant category. The winners underwent rigorous judging through anonymous site inspections. As a result of this impressive achievement, the Tasmanian winners have been given the remarkable opportunity to represent the state at the forthcoming AHA National Awards, scheduled to be held at Adelaide Oval on 27 November.
